Enjoy the warmer months in style. With the increasing appeal of staycations, there’s never been a better time to install your own hot tub.

Come home after a hectic day to the tranquillity of your own hot tub and soak those aching muscles. Fancy something more lively? Have your friends round for cocktails amongst the bubbles, the possibilities are endless.

We can install all of the necessary electrical components so you can sit back and enjoy your hot tub safely. All electrical work must comply with BS7671 and the supply to a hot tub must be protected by an RCD so it’s important to have it installed by an electrical professional.

What electrical supply do I need for a hot tub?

There are usually two options for hot tubs: 13 Amp Plug & Play models or a 32-40 Amp Hard-Wired model.

Plug & Play models simply require a waterproof RCD protected outdoor socket, you can find out more about our outdoor sockets here.

Hard-Wired hot tubs require a more demanding electrical supply, and you will need an IP65 Rotary Isolator Switch installed so that your hot tub can be switched off from the mains supply in the event of an emergency or for maintenance work. This acts as a trip switch to prevent electric shocks. The hot tub must also be protected by an MCB (mains circuit breaker) to cover the amperage of the spa and an additional 25% for the pumps.
